Before installing a new stator
Check the stator AC output.
Replace any burnt or corroded stator and regulator/rectifier connections
Check and repair any melted wires.
Use high temperature dielectric grease on all connections
Our stator may use a different wire color code than your original.
All wires are installed in the correct order; do not change any wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct replacement plug and should be used as such.
Always use a locking compound when screwing in the stator.
If our stator has a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct when installing; we suggest as close as possible to at least 0.010".
